Here at Agriscribe we encourage you to submit your news to us, so that we can broadcast it around the world. We understand that sometimes the technology of submitting your article can be a bit duanting to say the least but thats why we have put together this tutorial on submitting to Agriscribe. This tutorial will assume that you have already joined Agriscribe but if not, please Click here to join. The tutorial will start after you have pressed the "add article" link in you user area.
Alternatively you can always email your news to us at content@agriscribe.com. We will add you news to the site as soon as possible.
Add Article Page - Article Information
Title - Enter the title of your article or press release here. The title is very important because it is how your article will be found by search engines and it is the first thing people will see so it must make them want to read the article. Once your submit your content then the title will be shown like the ones to the right that are highlighted in red:
State - Choose the state in which your article or press release originates. This is not necessairly the state that you are currently in because you could be in, for example, Tennessee and be submitting news about South Dakota. The state in which news originates is very important because it helps us find the most relevant news for you when you come to us for your local agriculture news.
Catagory - You must now pick the catagory that the article or press release is fits into. You may find that your news overlaps several catagories and in that case choose the most relevant or the best catagory for your news. The catagory is important because it allows the user to further refine the search for articles on a specific topic.
Article Image 1-4 - These 4 browse boxes provide you the option to allow agriscribe to handle the pictures that go with your article. Due to space restrictions on our server, any pictures that you add through this method will be reduced in size to 100 by 100 px. If you want to add a picture to your article, but do not have the ability to host it elsewhere, click the browse button and select the image file from your computer.
Where do you want to display your images? - This option allows you to select where you want the images that you selected above to display. Remember that your images will be reduced in size to 100 by 100 px.
Chances are you will write your news releases in Microsoft Word or a similar word program. We don't expect you to write your entire news release in the editor that is provided (shown above). Instead you can simply copy your news release from Microsoft or any other program and paste it into our editor.
Highlight your news release
Right Click and press "Copy"
Open the "add Article" page from your user page
Press the "Paste From Word" button
A dialog box will come up, and with your cursor inside right click and paste (ctrl-V)
After your article is in the dialog box press "Insert"
Finally Press "add"
Your article will now be read and approved by the administrator before being added to the site
